MUSIC

Having been enveloped in music my entire life—thanks to my family’s tradition of singing together at every gathering—I’ve always harboured a love for it. It was a love so genuine that nobody cared if someone’s voice cracked or if we were way off pitch; we simply revelled in the joy of being wrapped up in song. While my mom did enrol my sister and me in Carnatic music classes, my desire to pursue music as more than just a hobby didn’t spark until later.

As I grew, I began to care more about how I sounded and started practising to fine-tune my voice. I feared that this might take the fun out of music, but surprisingly, it didn’t. In fact, mastering a piece became incredibly rewarding. Now, I share covers on my Instagram page whenever the mood strikes, all while keeping up with my daily practice.
